Thanksgiving Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt
When it comes to increasing the variety in your kiddo’s diet, exposure to different foods is key!
There’s a number of ways to go about this but one of our favorites is a grocery store scavenger hunt. Whether it’s themed for an upcoming holiday like this Thanksgiving one or more general, kids will be entertained alongside you as the food shopping gets done.
You can make the tasks more or less challenging depending on your child’s age and development. Older kids who can read can find specific ingredients with harder clues while younger kids do better with picture clues.
We also like giving non-food rewards for participating in food exposure activities. Some ideas include stickers, stamps, or extra time reading or playing before bed.
